Help us Create a Brighter Future
The Passamaquoddy Lodge Foundation Inc. is a charitable, non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to support the residents, staff and facilities of St. Andrews’ Passamaquoddy Lodge. Established in 1996, the Foundation’s primary mandate is to raise and manage donations which are used to support the Lodge community where government funding falls short.
The current focus is on the pressing needs of the existing Passamaquoddy Lodge. Later, the focus will be on the $20 million fundraising campaign for the new build.’
The Foundation is led by President Gary Groom, Vice-President Ann McIntosh, and Secretary-Treasurer Nancy Mandly. Other directors are Cynthia Clark, Caroline Davies, Darlene Ferguson, Jane Lauzier, Roger McNabb, Sandy Morgan and Donne Smith.
Foundation Structure
The Foundation is managed by a board of directors elected annually, which is directed by an executive committee and supported by board members of the Passamaquoddy Lodge Inc. and the Lodge’s senior management.
The Foundation manages assets raised or donated, through an established investment policy. The Foundation’s Fund Raising Committee is charged with ensuring money is raised to fund ongoing needs, identified projects and the future build of the new Lodge.
Recently completed projects have included:
- Revamped courtyard garden
- Refurbished comfort care (palliative) room
- New soft ice cream machine
- 2 new Broda chairs
- 2 new food carts

New Lodge Building Fund
We are working with the Provincial government to move forward on a new, replacement nursing home for Passamaquoddy Lodge that will revolutionize senior care in New Brunswick. This facility will also provide a new, larger replacement day care for the community, as well as space to provide support to aging in place. We look forward to inviting you to join us in our campaign to raise $20 million once this agreement is in place. Your contribution will help us build a state-of-the-art home for our residents, providing them with the highest quality of care and creating a warm, welcoming environment where they can thrive. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and disabled persons in our community. Let’s build a brighter future, one donation at a time.
