ACTIVITY DEPARTMENT QUILT RAFFLE

We were very pleased with the ticket sales on our quilt and want to thank all who supported our residents. The lucky winner (as broadcast live on our Facebook page) was Kevin Simmonds; who in turn donated the quilt to our Comfort Care room. Thank you Kevin!

NURSING HOME WEEK (June 8-14)

We will be celebrating our staff during Nursing Home Week with treats and draws to show our appreciation for all that they do and the care they show our residents!

RESPECTFUL CONDUCT and COMMUNICATION

We want to encourage open communication with families, but we do ask that you keep your comments respectful to all of our staff. If you have a concern please remember to speak to a manager or Charge Nurse. As your residents’ representative, we request that you advise other family members visiting that respectfulness is necessary. Thank you for keeping this in mind.

ALLERGY ALERT

Please do not bring in any items with nuts, peanut butter or latex (balloons) due to Allergies. Thank you! Also, please remember we are a fragrance free building.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS

The AGMs will be held at the Lodge on June 11, 2025 as follows:

PL Foundation at 4:00 p.m.

PL Lodge at 4:30 p.m.

TIME TO SPRING CLEAN

With the change of seasons, residents will be needing their lighter summer clothing. Please sort out your resident’s closet and dresser drawers, taking home winter items and replacing them with lighter ones. Unfortunately we do not have storage space to keep all items here. Also, they will need a summer hat and sunglasses for outings.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN ANY TYPE OF MEDICATIONS

Please do not bring in any medications of any kind; over the counter items or otherwise. We continue to find some residents with items they should not have at their bedsides as per our Nursing Home Standards. Thank you for your continued support.

VISITATION

We encourage you to stay up to date on vaccinations, stay home if you are sick, practice good respiratory etiquette, and sanitize your hands prior to entering the facility and frequently as needed.  Masks will continue to be readily available. We have received our next Covid booster for residents and plan to administer the vaccine in May.
