RECENT GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
We were pleased to be advised that Passamaquoddy Lodge has been slated for replacement. We look forward to moving to a modern facility! We will keep you posted as we move along this path.
RESPIRATORY ILLNESS SEASON
We are still in Respiratory Illness Season (Covid, Influenza and RSV). We encourage all visitors to be fully vaccinated and be vigilant with their hand washing. Masks are available in the dresser drawer in the lobby. Please Stay Home if you are feeling ill.
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
We launched a new fundraising campaign in November, 2025 and still need donations to reach our goal! Details are on our website. Donations may be made anytime online through our website:
passamaquoddylodge.ca/donate, by e-transfer to foundation@passamaquoddylodge.ca or in person at the Lodge. We appreciate your support!
GIFTS AND GRATUITIES
Please be advised that Passamaquoddy Lodge Staff are not permitted to accept gifts or gratuities from residents. Items such as food/treats on behalf of all staff are permitted and appreciated.
ALLERGY ALERT
Please do not bring in any items with nuts, peanut butter or latex (balloons) due to allergies. Thank you! Also, please remember we are a fragrance free building.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN ANY TYPE OF MEDICATIONS
Please do not bring in any medications of any kind.
CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN CARD
All families should apply for or renew their resident’s Canadian Dental Care Plan Card by calling 1-833-537-4342 or by looking up Canadian Dental Care Plan online. It’s a huge savings especially when dealing with the dental hygienist here at the lodge. Information required when applying:
Residents Full Name, Date of Birth, SIN number
Home and mailing address: Passamaquoddy Lodge, 230 Sophia St., St. Andrews NB E5B 2C2
List of dental coverage through government social programs (if applicable): likely none unless they have blue cross, etc. You and your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable) must have filed your tax return in Canada for the previous year and have received your notice of assessment.
CABLE TELEVISION SERVICE
The service charge for cable tv connection will increase to $40/month when the upgrade is completed. We are required to do the upgrade to continue service but we will have voice activated
remote controls and this will be easier for the residents to operate.
RESPECTFUL CONDUCT and COMMUNICATION
We want to encourage open communication with families, but we do ask that you keep your comments respectful to all of our staff. If you have a concern please remember to speak to a manager or Charge Nurse. Thank you for keeping this in mind.
RESIDENT CLOSETS/SEASONAL ITEMS
Please sort out seasonal items in your resident’s closet and dresser drawers. Please exchange/clean out items not in use or not needed at this time. Please make sure you leave all new items at reception
or with the Care Staff to be labeled. Thank you!
VENTILATION PROJECT April – October 2026
We are pleased to advise we will be receiving a new ventilation system for the Lodge. Work is expected to begin in April and should be completed in October, 2026. We expect minimal disruption for the
residents but there may be times when the front entrance/dining area are involved in the project. We will keep you informed as we move along. Ourbuilding permit is posted on our front entrance!
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
Residents may vote at the Lodge on May 5 th .
